Leo Bonomo is a well known author, radio-host ( and professional Medium in the Unted Kingdom. His main asset in all his work is clearly his powerful humanity that makes him a strong, but highly sensitive character at the same time. He has already authored before, also classically automatically written, a well received publication, available at amazon.

For his new book- or better multimedia-release (approx. February 2020), well known Author and Radio Host Leo Bonomo could not have chosen a more interesting subject - from the vast array of subjects in the field of Spiritualism or Mediumship.
The book is about an outstanding medium, one of a kind we have read in the parapsychological history books about before, but no truely convincing evidence was ever available for this rare kind of Physical Mediumship - until we get to Leos subject 'Leslie Flint' and the story of his mediumship.

Leslie Flint, born 1911, portrays mainly a kind of physical mediumship, the 'Direct Voice'-mediumship, that has its roots in ancient mysticism like in the end all mediumistical phenomena. World religions have been influenced by disembodied voices - received by their disciples, apparitions spoke to seers, nasty spirits - or 'Poltergeists' - harrassed their victims all over the globe with disembodied voices telling uncomfortable private secrets to frightened but petrified spectators watching and listening - and of course in the young contemporary western spirit culture - within Spiritualism - from early on so called 'Trumpet Mediums' did let disembodied voices speak through long cone like 'trumpets'.
Mr. Flints mouth is being taped. In his mouth cavern he carries water he after the sessions should spit out again. With these methods investigators strengthened the case for the 'independancy' of the voices from the mediums organism...
But also the later generations of Physical Mediums within Spiritualism produced powerful voice-related manifestations, like those voices appearing around the gagged Eileen Garrett, or the 'independent' Direct Voice of Margery Crandons brother 'Walter' that floated through the room and spoke from every thinkable location, Bastians 'Direct Voices', who tried to convince him to stop smoking, Indridasons 'Direct Voices' that sang in different sexes loudly into the ears of sitters behind the net, in front of which the medium was held by a control person.
Some mediums could even join the conversations their spirits had with sitters respectively could talk simultaneously with their spirit voices - but only a few.
And meanwhile we are impressed to read about Etta Wriedts, Moncks, Husks and Emily Frenchs mediumstically produced voices we come to state eventually that - also due to the technical conditions of the different ages of course - there was merely no convincing evidence anyhow available documenting the sensational voice-manifestations described by witnesses over centuries.

If we not had the evidence existing around the Leslie Flint mediumship - because dozens of the voices were not only recorded but literally exhaustingly interviewed. Leo Bonomo met the outstanding Mr. Flint in 1990, 4 years before he transitioned and became witness of the outstanding voice phenomenon himself what made the impact Bonomos publication is telling about.

The biggest strength in Bonomos Book/CD-publication is clearly the combination of audio and the transcripts of the produced voices and the insights they enable. Bonomo recites partially very long discussions between the experimenters and the talking spirits. This is one of the main differences between Bonomos and other - mainly online - publications. Moreover underlined must be the massive value of the transcripts themselves, helping a lot to understand better the partially low quality voices and their individual accents and to fully fathom the variety of expressed individual voice mannerism in the recordings.

As Leo states in a chapter of his book, we are on the one side privileged to dive into a multitude of very personal stories and viewpoints expressed by the spirits. But as he also states at the same time in the first place they sound very normal, if not ordinary sometimes.
At that point we need to be aware that, like all forms of Physical Mediumship, we can approach Leslies mediumship additionally and necessarily from the phenomenological side as well.
And with that approach another massive value of Bonomos published recordings comes to light. What was above described as very much being missed and rare historically, the documented evidence of voices claimed to be embodied - in the case of Leslie Flint generally and with these recordings especially it can be studied now extensively.

Uncomparably varied are the voices and mannerisms and ages and sexes and viewpoints of the disembodied voices. Flint who had allegedly undergone a phletora of testings mainly in his earlier years with taped mouth and held water inside, with microphones controlling his larynx-activity asf.. Unfortunately protocols of these sessions are nowhere available anymore and in later years the apparently most different voices under the conditions they were presented were mostly rightout trusted and considered unfakeable. A lot of Flints sessions were being held in smallest most private groups and any thinkable fraud was by the most observers outruled simply due to the transparency of the present conditions.

And so the voices in Leos publication speak about religion and transition, about possibilities of the consciousness state they are in, about a lot of personal experiences in a seemingly astral environment where there is a lot to learn about their personality, their past and presence, their relationships and the perceived environment they are in. For Leo the common tone of dozens ordinary spirits telling their story is evidence for their authenticity and listening to the voices this viewpoint sounds absolutely justified.

Impactful in the opposite are the sayings of Flints guide 'Mickey', who owns a unique wit - or of influential personalities like Arthur Findlay, founder of Stansted Hall, commenting recent events and developments from the time of the recording which could not be more actual!
Findlay, through Flint, meticolously disects certain currents and complains about the lack of development of Physical Mediums at the college. 'I do realise only too well that there is a great undermining of the movement going on', namely to the disadvantage of Findlays most committed form of mediumship, its physical forms.

'It is not enough encouragement and development taking place for (...) the Physical, which is, after all, what convinced me and I feel it is sadly lacking.'
'Err, I’m not suggesting that you… mustn’t have or shouldn’t have mental mediums' he is carrying on, 'but, er the standard of (Mental) Mediumship by and large is enough to put most intelligent people orf.
I don’t mean to be unkind, but I must admit that I am very disheartened and just occasionally disappointed with the college. It’s not what I anticipated. It’s not what I intended, and it certainly isn’t going in the way in which I hoped it might go.
Of course you must have mental mediums, and they are the absolutely necessary essential - you should have healing also.
But the point is that I do feel there is a great dearth of good physical Mediumship. And we need physical mediums. Why aren't they utilising this form of Mediumship. Why aren't mediums being developed? Why isn’t the college being used as a development centre of good first class (physical) Mediumship (...)?'
And he right away answeres his question himself: 'I feel there is a great lack of co-operation, a
great lack of co-ordination. And it seems to me at the moment that your work (...) seems bereft err, to a certain extent (...)'

Findlay speaks here from his own most powerful experiences in the field of mediumship when regarding the complete ignorance, if not hostility, expressed by the College for decades towards Physical Mediumship. Until today regulations against the very nature of Physical Phenomena as described for centuries do avoid any foundation or development of Physical Mediums in Stansted Hall.

Today neither the Physical and Direct Voice Medium John Sloan, Findlays famous main research subject, nor Leslie Flint, the absolute exceptional contemporary Direct Voice Medium would be anyhow allowed to work or demonstrate their fabolous faculties in Stansted Hall! It is simple, because they would be requiring dark conditions, what excludes them from any further evaluation.
Isn't that sad? The great Leslie Flint would stand outside before locked doors of Stansted Hall!

Although the phantom ‘Parini’ materialized several times in séances by Carlos Mirabelli and could also be photographed in high quality - during the famous series of sessions at the Academia ‘Cesare Lombroso’ - we are presenting one of the rarely shown copies today. Its peculiarity has to do with the conditions under which the photo was supposedly taken and with a follow-up photo that may have been taken more or less immediately afterwards. But first let's take a look at the photo in focus today. We edited it a little and brightened up the rather dark original!

In the 'secured' experimental space behind a large netting that spanned the room, the medium C. Mirabelli and the experimental director Prof. Castro were seated. Castro is securing the medium by hand in his chair, and just before the image exposure the spirit phantom of the Italian poet Parini has formed.

Usually Mirabellis daylight materializations appeared from a kind of distortion or fogging of the air. Some observers described cloud-like structures from which the phantoms seemed to descend. For the professors Castro and de Goes, too, it was nothing unusual to sit at one table with the phantoms. The visible allegedly 17th-century poet Parini mostly recited his own poetry during the short episodes of his manifested presence or announced his ‘identity’ in Italian!

The de-materializations were also well observable for the more than 300 Mirabelli-daylight-materialization-witnesses. Either the figures began to hover again, as can be seen in other photos, gradually reducing to half of their original size - or disappearing stepwise with more and more parts of their shape becoming invisible - until they finally were gone completely. In many cases, they were again enveloped by 'a cloud' before they disappeared. Other phantoms disintegrated at lightning speed and within a second simply left leaving the empty chair and the puzzled observers and experimenters behind...

This picture shows the scene taken a few minutes later. Castro has changed his seat after opening the tie for the medium to breathe better, and is now sitting on his left. The phantom in the meantime had overtaken his seat in Castro's former chair and other experimenters were allowed to step through the safety net and sit next to the phantom to be photographed. We see on the right of the empty chair on which the phantom was sitting, Prof. de Goes and a colleague, holding hands. The phantom, however, had dissolved just in the second before the exposure of the photograph and the astonishment is clearly visible on the faces of the men!

Around 1920, German parapsychologists made an official request to the German consul in Sao Paolo because the long list of dignitaries who allegedly had attended the meetings also included a whole series of politically active men and women. One wanted to know whether the consul had any knowledge of Carlos Mirabelli's mediumship, or if he knew any assessors personally. The official request was followed by a fairly extensive submission by the consul, who claimed to know some of the witnesses of the events personally and that the phenomena were currently on everyone's lips. He confirmed that the men and women concerned were able to testify to what was reported and were convinced of the authenticity of the phenomena ...

The Phantom Parini at another materialization session. Having sunk down from a cloud, it sits between medium Mirabelli and Prof. de Goes. The visible condition of the medium is impressive in this picture. In his trance, the mediums vital signs were often barely measurable and a few sessions were canceled by the medical staff present. When Mirabelli's physiology was so shut down and it seemed as if his life-energy was feeding the phantom, it often smelled of corpse. Evidently, by the way, some newly deceased appeared in their shrouds ...
Some of the sessions were held at this table in the Academia Lombroso, and here too the photographers captured the moment immediately after de-materialization. Again, amazement speaks from the eyes of the medium at the empty chair on which one of the phantoms had sat just the second before...
Just under 10 years after these recordings, the German parapsychologist Hans Driesch visited Mirabelli. At that point in time, his powers seemed exhausted and Mirabelli appeared to Driesch as a very old man who could only accomplish small object movements ...

The publications about Mirabelli in their Portuguese originals were again and again only hardly possible to access due to the language barrier, and many important aspects did not come to light internationally before decades. The review of Polish or Icelandic literature on exceptional physical mediums such as Guzik, Kluski or Indridason was just as complicated and delayed the excavation of important materials sometimes for decades.

Today Mirabelli is counted as one of the great exceptional mediums of his time, a daylight medium that was able to demonstrate its strongest manifestations in slightly darkened daylight conditions...!

Two things that are unseperably connected. My mediumship and the Felix Circle that served as an active weekly circle since late 2004 as experimental and development circle. Working specifically in the first two or three years as a so called energy circle on behalf the group-mediumships abilities. More and more sophisticated deep trance routine exercises did let a spirit team make contact with us in 2007 and the ectoplasm era began.
Starting with the OuiJa Board its spokesman 'Imperator' - after 'Photographic Extra'-experiments - transformed namely and became the spirit-operator 'Prof. Hans Bender', a leading Parapsychologist  of Germany' in the 60ies, 70ies and early 80ies. Around him with the time several more spirits came forward and built the spirit-team 'the Alchemists', that is working until today in the Kai Muegge Mediumship...

Punctually 7.00 pm the first members arrived at the Muegge family residence:
Like every year around this time the eleven members celebrate gathering, talking, laughing and sitting the most exciting time in their lifes: The active years of the Felix Circle.
(Some members won't be visible on the photographs!)

My wonderful little mother (lower right) and my sister in law (right) were the family bond within the circle during all its years before Julia joined. And when the 'mission'-era had started mom fell ill and couldn't attend anymore in the last years as she might have wanted to. Around her shining personality a lot of the power of the circle was amassed ...! Tonight she will be with us!

Still waiting for the last to arrive the right side of the table waves into the camera...

Finally in the bomb-shelter of the 1936 built house by my grand-parents mother-side in the traditional original circle pattern, the Eusapianian pattern with cabinet in the back.

Already in the last years we experienced an immediate jump back in time and with the first second of sitting together all the energies had returned. So we started into an evening experiencing together one more time some of the amazing phenomena of the circle...


Like in our demonstrations objects appear out of nothing like under the flat hands on the table. K. is here spreading her fingers to reveal what manifested below...!!! Only a predecessor of what followed shortly after.


In a coincidental order of remarks about apports suddenly these stones crashed onto the surface in front of the specific sitter who had started the conversation! That  did happen in the heydays of the circle many times: meanwhile the circle just started to sing the chorus 'We all live in a yellow submarine' several litres of water crashed onto the tables surface for example...
Evidential and unevidential apports accompany the history of the circles experimentation like for example the many handwritings of the deceased or other examples helping sitters in their belongings, like the glyphs enabling Ing. Walter Schnittger to solve one of the last Scole-Group mysteries...!

Duing the sitting winds, touches, lights, transport of objects, full levitations and short rap-episodes emerged from the wall, a drum from one of the corners besides the cabinet floated drumming above our heads and so on and so forth...

In the end we shortly came together upstairs and the others sat still quite a while, chilling and memorizing the good times of the past. But me with a digestion virus left the others, quite depleted after this sitting in this late time of the year...

INDEPENDENT MEDIUM CONTROL PERSON REPORTS ABOUT HIS UNIQUE OBSERVATIONS - having direct body contact and holding the medium Kai Muegge during all phenomenal séance stages... (Hilversum, Netherlands, Dec. 2019)

The white séances of Hilversum 2019. The setting of the evening is shown here on this photo. Olafs seat is the one directly besides the mediums seat on the right side. From this position he was privileged to observe the medium and the phenomena in a unique way during the séance. 
Olaf van der Hoeven is for years well known in the interested circles about spiritual manifestations, like healing or Physical Mediumship. He has an extensive knowledge about the contemporary Spiritual Movement and relative subjects. He is himself for years working as a respected healer and very much appreciated for his careful and reasonable tone in evaluating all sorts of phenomena. He is in his early 40ies and lives in the Netherlands. He was chosen during the séances in Hilversum in December 2019 to serve as the independent medium control-person, having the responsibility to secure the medium in its chair and holding his hands and feet during the darkness sections of the evening and frequently check the reliability of Julia Muegges holding control opposite to his. We are very thankful and his unaltered full report is very much appreciated.

Well known Switzerlands Basle Psi-Associations President and acclaimed award-winning author Lucius Werthmueller demonstrating the effectiveness of the holding control for mediums from German traditions Experimental Mediumship, originating from the séances of Schrenck-Notzing with Rudi and Willi Schneider, but also with Eva C. or Eusapia Paladino. The photos were taken in Switzerland during an introduction talk for participants of our séances. It is exactly the control scheme, and Olaf is overtaking the role of Mr. Werthmueller in his following report.


On Sunday December 1st i had the opportunity to be, together with his wife Julia Muegge, the second control sitter left of the medium, Kai Muegge. During the seance it was my task to hold the medium’s left hand with my right hand, and to keep his left leg firmly on the ground with my left hand, during the time the medium was in trance, seated in his chair. This was to ensure that any phenomena that would occur, would happen outside the muscular influence of the medium Kai Muegge.
During the seance i was asked many times to check Julia as well, to confirm that her hands were connected with the medium’s body as well.

The mediums seat inside the cabinet. During the phenomenal stages of the séance Kai was sitting outside of the cabinet as part of the circle ,held from both sides...

 After the medium went into trance he was put forward outside of the cabinet, and was held by me and his wife Julia. The seance took about 2 and a half hours, and during this time, i many times checked for the sitters that the medium was indeed in his chair, tied in our hands, and with both of his legs on the ground.

 During the seance we had many physical phenomena. There were flying trumpets, spirit touchings, materialised spirit hands above phosporus lit tiles (in a distance of approx 3 metres or 9 feet from the mediums upper body, the editor), winds in the room, extruding ectoplasm, and many objects that materialised.

For example, as i sat very close to the medium i was first hand witness that objects materialised and fell down from the mediums hands. They ’just‘ materialised and fell down in the hands of one of the sitters who was temporarily seated in front of the medium. It is good to know the medium wore a short sleeved t-shirt that reached just above his ellbows like a regular t-shirt does. The hands of the mediums were checked before that they were empty, and did not have anything up his sleeves‘ for the simple fact there were no sleeves.
During this demonstration of materialisation, the legs of the medium were always firmly grounded.
The figurine that Olaf observed to closely falling from the mediums checked and bare hand into a sitters hand in a distance below, right in front of Olafs eyes just a few inches away...
Many small gemstones materialised underneath the eyelids of the medium, and were gently being pushed out and fell on the floor. I was seated about 10 inches away from the medium, practically beside of him, and i could see first hand his eyelids were swelling, where just before there was nothing located under his eyelids (in white light shone from a flashlight in the mediums face who had its eyeballs rolled upwards fully).

 At some other point (what was explained as) ectoplasm started pouring out of the mediums face. I could see it get larger and wider. Inside the ectoplasm i could see a crystal grow bigger and bigger. When it was big enough the crystal broke through the ectoplasm and it fell on the floor.

 During all these phenomena i assured myself i (at all times) held the mediums hand, and kept his leg on the floor. I also assured myself his wife Julia also held his right hand, and also kept his right leg on the floor. The body of the medium during the physical phenomena felt very relaxed, it did not have any muscular movement or excitement. It was relaxed and quiet all the time, it did not make notice of any muscular excitement.
The materialized objects of the evening Olaf was controlling and holding the medium. He sat very near when these objects materialized in different scenarios over the evening. For example you can see here the specifically pinpointed and sharp gemstones that have exited the mediums eyes...
What i noticed personally, is that the unique energetic personality field that comes off of Kai Muegge as a human being in his awake state is completely gone when he is in trance. In trance there is a completely different energetic personality field coming off the medium.

 When the physical phenomena occured (to be specific the flying trumpets, the materialised hands, the ectoplasm extruding the medium, the objects materialising, the wind, the spirit touchings that the sitters noticed), during all the phenomena i have assured that the hands of the medium were held by the 2 control sitters. I have assured that both legs of the medium were held tight and down on the floor.

All the physical phenomena occured outside of the (possible) muscular influence of the medium Kai Muegge. He remained seated in a relaxed and gentle way, without any muscular activity.
