Having now participated fully in a few of the séances, this report is based on personal experience, and will enunciate the control aspects of the sitting and the phenomenon produced.
Myself and four other sitters have regularly exercised the preparations for the FEG séances at Inge Crossons 'Wallacia Development Centre' west of Sydney, at the foot of the Black Mountains, naturally with a constant vigilance not only in regards to have in the end the medium strictly controlled, but also in regards to the safety and protection of it.
We initially set up the séance room and turned it into a very overviewable space so that there was maximum security and control. In regards to the comfort of the sitters, it became very difficult as the temperatures were ranging from 27 to 36 degrees.

Kai, Julia and myself set up the room which gave me an opportunity to view all of the devices used and so investigated early into the processes they later became part of.
On the day of each sitting, Kai gave his introductory discussion to the participants, and then two people were chosen as controllers to accompany the circle leader to the séance room to check the room for unwanted or suspicious devices. Each controller was searched prior to entering the séance room, and well as the circle leader (by me). I then watched as the two controllers searched the room.

Once this process was finished, the rest of the sitters were brought forward and searched. As each person was cleared, they were additionally scanned by a hand held scanner, and then placed into their seats.
The medium was then brought from the house, where another controller - in one of the sittings I saw Victor Zammit escort it – had watched him redress, after having investigated his undressed body.

The séance starts in blackness, the holotropic breathing process is initiated and then as the energy builds, many knockings and raps were heard by sitters emanating from around the wall area.
After the holotrophic breathing routine is completed, the main spirit control ,Hans Bender, comes and speak to the sitters and the circle leader, welcoming them and giving instruction.
The double hold control is then initiated by the two sitters who are either side of the medium, this ensures that the medium is at all times in the chair, sitters are also asked to hold hands so that they cannot interfere with what is to take place within the “experimental area” in front of the sitters.

This field of energy was able to be felt expanding by a few sitters, but for me I was able to sense it very clearly as a cold energy and once it moved past my left arm I asked Hans (the FEG-Spirit Teams main spirit control) telepathically to not allow it to extend past my place and immediately I recognized it stop 50 cm in front of me. I was seated in the corner near the wall at the end of the séance room because of my high sensitivity.

The first phenomena were touches experienced by the sitters, many called out into the room they had been touched on multiple occasions at their bodies. Secondly the tambourine started shaking (this is placed at a distance of 1.8 – 2 metres from the seat which the medium is on. It is placed in front of the cabinet, where the medium is sitting and being held and controlled at both legs and arms by two adjacent sitters.

Spirit lights were then seen floating around the room, and the sitters are singing loudly to raise the energy.

Hans then instructed the circle leader to energise the three fluorescent balls, using a small torch until they were glowing considerably.
The medium is held by both controls, and then in complete blackness the balls were moved and controlled by the spirit team and finally thrown from their plate. I saw fingers attaching themselves to the three balls and then controlling them. Also sitters had seen a small hand manipulating the balls.

The next phenomenon displayed was on the small plaque (20 x 20 cm), that was again illuminated by pointing a small torch at it. Once initialised, hand forms came over the plaque (we saw 5 different shapes of hands manifest on the plaque), some sitters stated the hands were of a 3-D nature, as they were viewing them from the side and able to see the hands from a different viewpoint (some sitters said they saw six fingers on one of the hands).

Once that phenomenon was finished , the spirit control asked for the hanky (a piece of cloth illuminated) to be passed around the sitters. When it reached a certain sitter (this can be any sitter, the room is in complete darkness) he or she was asked to hold the hanky out in front of them, and wait to see if a manifestation of a hand can reach out and grab for the hanky. When this hanky was taken from me by the spirit hand, the hand actually brushed against my own hand, and I felt the structure of the ectoplasmic finger touching mine. That happens regularly and the acting hand was felt oftentimes before, for example lifting the hanky from one sitters head, after it had been placed there….
When I held the hanky inside the force field, it was then taken from my hand by the entity, the hanky floated around the room, but once it went past my left arm to the point where the field allegedly ended the hanky fell to the floor. I had to pick it up again and the process was repeated several times. It showed the extent of the field and the reach of the spirit team.

I would like to mention that at least 15 times during the evening ”Hans Bender” requested the controlling sitters on either side of the medium to check each other and to speak out loudly that they were still holding the medium and that he was still in his chair.
The next manifestation was the flying ‘trumpets’, they whizzed around the room and circled backwards and forwards touching a few of the sitters.

For me the next part of the demonstration was the highlight of the sitting. “Hans Bender” extruded copious amounts of ectoplasm from the medium, which was then displayed in bright red light to the sitters. The mass that had accumulated on the floor was approximately 50 cm wide by 30 cm high seemed to be breathing and pulsing on the floor in front of the medium. Often, small protuberances appeared from the mass, such as feet, an ear, and then a hand. Hans would ask if the hand could be seen coming from the mass, and if not, he would then close the cabinet curtains for a short time - he would then reopen the curtains - and display the hand in a stronger process, it wasn’t uncommon to see the hand clearly with all fingers and thumb rising from the mass.

In the third sitting, when the curtains were opened, the ectoplasmic mass was displayed in front of the mediums chest. Hans seemingly had “deconstructed” the mass to show its internal workings to show it is not a fabric.
The next time the curtain was reopened the mass of ectoplasm displayed seemed to have three openings or “holes” in it, initially they looked empty, but after further observing the “holes”, sitters could see faces of loved ones who had passed over starting to appear (this was confirmed by us as a group), as we (still holding hands) were asked to move forward to the cabinet and view the mass and faces from no further than one and half meters away. A sitter verified one face shown was her stepfather who had passed over many years before.

Once the sitting had finished, all the sitters were asked to leave the room, and leave the medium to recover, still under observance by the two controlling persons on his left and right side.

The next day – The Levitating Table and Apport
On Kais day of rest we had discussed a table tipping exercise, but were unsure at to weather the energy was of the correct potential for the spirits to levitate the table. 5 of us sat around the card table singing songs and after a few minutes, the table rocked gently from one side to another, within ten minutes, the table fully levitated at least 30 centimetres off the floor (four times)…personally, I was ecstatic!
Kai said quietly to the group, “quickly, stand up and all hold hands”! We did and suddenly an apport materialised in the middle of the group and fell onto the table…
I am convinced in many ways from my experiences over the years that we exist in many forms after death, I am convinced that I have been shown that there are certain spirits and entities which exist who are wanting to support us on our journeys, and who will also provide us with confirmation in many forms, and that we are part of a much greater spiritual collective.

THE FOUR LIMB CONTROL - Report about the validity of the strictest control method exercisable during darkness seances

Report of the séance Wednesday, 17.10.2012, from 19:45 until 10:15 p.m. 

Dr. Michael Mnahm is a parapsychological author about paranormal phenomena in biology and certain Near-Death-Phenomena. His reports are fully independent. He has no further private relationship to any FEG Member, even though he is in the meantime a wanted and appreciated guest to the sittings. 

Written between the 20. and the 26.10.2012 on the basis of a personally recorded audio-file of the séance and of notes taken in the hours after the sitting. 

This sitting took place at the location of the Basler Psi-Verein in Basel.
In addition to Kai, we were 18 sitters in the usual room on the second floor that is used for séances in Basel. Like during my last sitting in Basel, Kai was only accompanied by one member of his home circle, his wife Julia. She was operating the red light lamp, and opened and closed the cabinet curtain when required on its right side.
Lucius Werthmüller operated the CD player and controlled the door, his partner Sabin sat between him and their son Pablo who operated the fan. Most of the other sitters were Swiss and had already visited one or more séances with Kai or with other mediums.
 I arrived at the location at about 5 p.m., and was left alone in the already prepared séance room for as long as I wished. I measured the room and thoroughly searched it (heaters, chairs, cabinet, other objects such as two buckets, bells and shakers, wall pictures and tapestry, the sheathing of the two windows, …) and found nothing suspicious.
 At about 6 p.m., Kai gave the introductory talk in the first floor.
Then, he took his usual retreat in a separate room for about half an hour. During this time, I went into the room again and searched it again, this time with Olivier, one of the guests. This time, Julia was also present. After the search, Olivier left the room again, but Julia stayed there with me until the sitting began.
I also touched Julia’s clothes to see if any (larger) suspicious devices were hidden, but found none. Before the other sitters finally entered the room, the female guest sitters were checked by Sabine and the male guests by Pablo. They also used a metal detector. When Sabine, Pablo and Lucius finally entered the room, Julia touched Sabine’s clothes, I touched Lucius’s and Pablo’s clothes. Again, I couldn’t feel any large, long or clumsy objects that might be used for trickery. We all sat down in an order in which male and female sitters alternating. Julia showed all objects in the room that might cause suspicion to the sitters, such as two spare batteries for the torch, the recorder, a water bottle, empty bucket with a towel, etc.

In the active zone about 2.5 m in front of the cabinet chair, there was a ring of bells and two shakers which were placed on a second empty bucket that was turned upside down. Julia also explained the purpose of the taped marker on the floor: During the first phase of the sitting, the part in total darkness, Kai moves out of the cabinet with his chair for each of the different phenomena. This is said to happen because the phenomena seem to work best when Kai sits in a distance of about 1.5 m from the “active zone” and the bucket with the objects. The taped marker is easy to feel with ones feet, and it serves as a marker for Kai in the entranced state that he is not supposed to transgress with his feet when he moves out of the cabinet with his chair in the dark. Moreover, Kai can be much better controlled when he has left the cabinet during the phenomena take place. (This is the main reason! When years ago in the home circle the medium wasn t hold at his arms and legs during some of the phenomena, they happened as well, when Kai was staying inside of the cabinet! The sliding out of the cabinet is because today Kai is controlled and hold during every single darkness phenomenon! The Editor) 

When Kai finally entered the room, he for the first time wasn t to be searched, (as he had announced it already in the pre-talk) stating that it had been done so often already and regularly disturbs his pre-trance state. He appeared somewhat disorientated or dissociated already, and went straight to the cabinet. He sat down in his chair (during the sitting, HB complained about that apparent flaw, and insisted that I should search Kai’s clothes after the séance to compensate it at least somewhat). The order of the sitters was as follows:

Kai opened the sitting with a short prayer and began his rapid breathing technique in darkness. It took a few minutes until HB first came through. Around that time, first raps were heard at the ceiling of the room and at one of the window sheaths. The raps accompanied HBs introductory words for several minutes, were well audible, consisted mainly of a fast knocking, and moved around predominantly at the ceiling.

During the first part of the sitting, the following phenomena occurred:
  • 1. Many sitters reported touches (I was not touched), and a light was briefly seen inside the cabinet by the sitters who sat opposite of it. The cabinet curtains were not fully closed at this time. 
  • 2. Audible manipulations of the bells and shakers which, after a while of apparently erratic manipulations, followed the beat of the music quite consistently. 
  • 3. Greenish phosphorescent lights. The first one was only visible for the sitters on the other side for quite some time, then it also turned towards the other side so that I could see it. For a short time, sitters reported two simultaneous lights, but I have only seen one. It came quite close to me two times for a few seconds, and I was able to see that the light illuminated very dimly (!) a small structure on two sides next to it (figure 1), indicating that it was covered with something whitish. Towards the end of the light display, we saw only one light that hovered at head height behind me and outside of the cabinet, apparently close to the back wall (or window 2, respectively). 
  • 4. The three little phosphorescent balls (illuminated by Julia with a torch) were manipulated and kicked from their board which Julia had placed on the bucket before. From my position, I could sometimes see dark structures above them which seemed to manipulate them. 
  •  5. The usual shapes of hands were displayed above the luminous plaque. Indeed, I was able to see dark structures moving across the plaque several times, but I couldn’t distinguish any details from my position. 
  •  6. A prolonged and several shorter trumpet flights. Julia placed the trumpet in front to the cabinet on the floor. Shortly after, it was pushed a little away from the cabinet, and then rose into the air, seemingly touching the ceiling at least two times. Then, it performed various movements until it fell down on the floor right in front of the chairs of Bea and me. Perhaps it was by chance, perhaps not: The trumpet fell when I accidentally put my left hand in front of Kai’s left knee instead of above it (or above the left thigh) after HB had asked me to control Kai’s left limbs. However, I felt nothing in front of his knee. The trumpet tried apparently to move or lift again from the floor, but it was not successful. For a brief moment, I saw a thin dark shape moving in front of the luminous tape which is wrapped around the thick end of the trumpet. HB asked me to put it back in front of the cabinet, but quickly corrected himself and asked Julia to fetch it slowly. She picked it up again, placed it upright in front of the cabinet, and soon after, the trumpet flew again, but only in medium height. Then, it was gently placed down on the floor. During all of the mentioned phenomena, sitters were asked to form a chain of hands. I was allowed to control both Kai and Julia during the major phenomena, i.e. phenomena 2-6 of the list. 

 In the following, I’ll describe the mode of the control in more detail. As mentioned, Kai moves out of the cabinet with his chair during the commencement of each phenomenon, and retreats back into the cabinet when they cease. Each time Kai has moved out of the cabinet, he was in a position in front of me and to the left of me. To control him, I had to leave my chair and to move next to him, thus breaking the chain with my left neighbour, Bea. Then, I knelt on my right knee, but I kept my lower left leg standing in an upright position, and bent at its knee. On each occasion, Bea touched my left shoulder or my back with her right hand to remain in bodily contact with me.
For controlling Kai’s body, I put my left foot in contact with his left foot. I started at its side, but put my foot also in front of his foot, and even on top of it. I felt his foot very well because I was wearing only socks. I put my left hand on Kai’s left thigh, and took his left hand in my right hand. During the phenomena 2-6, I was also asked to control Julia’s hands when the phenomena were in full action. On these occasions, I leaned over Kai’s left thigh across to Julia.
In this position, I was in bodily touch with Kai at the following locations:
• My left foot still touched his left foot.
• My hip and belly region touched his left thigh including his left lower arm which rested on this thigh.
• My right lower arm, stretching across to Julia, touched Kai’s belly.
• My right hand clasped his right hand which was held by Julia’s left hand and rested on Kai’s right thigh.
• My right upper arm and shoulder touched Kai’s left upper arm and shoulder, sometimes Kai leaned a little against me.
• My left hand controlled Julia’s right hand, and again, Kai’s right thigh/knee, on which Julia’s right hand rested.
When I reached across to Julia and Kai’s other side to take both of Julia’s hands, I made sure that I could distinctly touch these three parts: Julia’s two hands, Kai’s right hand, and Kai’s right thigh.
This was easily possible, since I had usually more than half a minute to control Julia and Kai in this way (see below). In addition, Julia wiggled her (small) fingers a little so that I could easily find and distinguish them from Kai’s large hand.
During the bell manipulations, I was even allowed to control Kai and Julia two times during the course of the display, the first time for 40 seconds and the second time for 15 seconds.
HB asked to change the first double-control back into a one-sided control of Kai because the manipulations had difficulties to follow the beat of the music. When they nicely did so, HB asked me to lean over to Julia again to perform the double-control again.

 In short, I was in touch with practically all parts of Kai’s body except of his back and head. In addition, during the phenomena including the times that I have controlled Kai (and Julia), HB has frequently spoken and has asked the sitters to describe the ongoing phenomena, and asked Julia and me to describe the activities of the medium.

Sometimes, when HB was speaking, the music was turned off and it was very silent in the room. Still, the phenomena continued under the described control conditions without producing any audible sound, and often, the light and the trumpet performed rather fast movements of one to two meters, sometimes more. Thus, it seems very unlikely that the phenomena were produced with the help of Kai’s mouth.

The duration of the controls was as follows:
• Bells and shaker: Only Kai in control 5:20 min, Kai together with Julia additionally 0:55 min
• Lights: Only Kai in control 6 min, Kai together with Julia additionally 0:37 min. In total, the display of lights lasted for almost 15 minutes.
• Manipulation of balls: 2:48 min, together with Julia additionally 0:42 min
• Shapes above the plaque: 1:03 min, together with Julia additionally 1:05 min
• Trumpet flight: 1:35 min, together with Julia additionally 0:15 min. The first trumpet flight alone (during which I controlled Kai) lasted for 7:25 minutes without interruption, and a few shorter flights followed.

During the controls of the last two phenomena, I have also asked the whole group of sitters if they all sit in chain with joined hands, and have received unanimously affirmative feedback. Unlike a previous sitting in Hanau, when I had already been allowed to control Kai (and Julia), I could not detect a correspondence between the object movements and Kai’s bodily tension this time. Most of the time, he seemed completely relaxed.

After the described phenomena, we had a short beak. Then, it was ectoplasm time. In total, we saw eight of the typical displays in red light, all of which lasted about half a minute. However, they contained nothing essentially new and I will not describe them in more detail here.
Then, the sitting was to be closed and Kai awoke from trance.
Except for Julia and me, all left the darkened séance room and went downstairs.
After a few minutes of recovery, we jointly searched the cabinet with a torch and found no tools that might have been used to produce the object movements. We went downstairs into a separate room, where Kai undressed until he stood in front of me in pants. I searched his clothes and found nothing suspicious.

 For me, this degree of bodily control was a very valuable experience. I can state with confidence that neither Kai nor Julia had moved during the mentioned phenomena. At present, I can think of no plausible way how the phenomena could have been produced in a fraudulent way.
It has recently been argued that the circle members in Hanau participate in the production of the phenomena. This possibility can safely be excluded in the present sitting, because only Julia had accompanied Kai and her hands were also controlled by me.
I find it not convincing (and, in fact, quite problematic for a variety of reasons) to argue that some of the guest sitters or the organisers of the sitting (Lucius, Sabin, and Pablo) could have helped Kai and Julia in the fraudulent production of the phenomena.
Also, I find it difficult to imagine how Kai (and/or Julia) might have constructed and abolished a hidden mechanical device to produce the phenomena in question without anybody noticing it.

The fact that Kai and Julia were controlled in the described way, at a foreign location without other circle members being present, and the fact that they were essentially motionlessness during the display of the five major phenomena described, adds considerable weight to the possibility that these phenomena are indeed genuine. Thanks a lot, Lucius & Co., for organising this impressive event, and most of all, Kai & Julia for their confidence and kindness to let me control both of you. This was an unforgettable evening!

Walter Meyer zu Erpen of Canadas "Survival Research Institute" took part in a small production about T.G.Hamiltons Mediumistic Research

Walter Meyer zu Erpen, the President of the "Survival Research Institut of Canada" promotes for some years now one of the most interesting mediumistic research efforts ever - Thomas Glendenning Hamiltons well documented experimentation with several strong mediums, like for example with Mary Marshal. The outcome was one of the most exciting publications in regards to the strange mediumistic artefact ectoplasm and materialisation, but also in regards to macro-psychokinesis. 

Thomas Glendenning Hamilton (November 27, 1873 – April 7, 1935) was a Canadian doctor, school board trustee and member of the Manitoba legislature. He is best known however for the thousands of photographs he took during séances held in his home in Winnipeg in the early 1900s. His wife, Lillian May Hamilton, and his daughter, Margaret Hamilton Bach, were co-researchers and continued this enquiry into life after death after he died. (Wikipedia)
So during Walters recent visit to Winnipeg, he was interviewed at the University of Manitoba Archives by Kim Kaschor for Shaw TV Winnipeg about the T.G. Hamilton table levitation and ectoplasm photographs.

MEDIUM CONTROL REPORT by Matthias F. Gueldenstein (Special Independent Witness Report)

Matthias F. Gueldenstein, Author, Researcher and Founder of the Basle PSI Association

Matthias F. Gueldenstein can be easily counted to the most experienced mediumship researchers of the European heartland.

Born in Basle 1939 he did studies in Biology, Chemistry, Psychology, Pedagogics and the art of drawing. Astrology, Parapsychology, Hypnosis and Auto-Hypnosis etc., Awareness Groups and Transpersonal Psychology, Holistical Client Centered Therapy and Integrative Body work were his main interests.

He became Founder (1967) and Chairman of the Parapsychological Workgroup Basle (Basle PSI Ass.) and (1983) together with his wife Eva of the PSI Center Basle(ATES AG).

He is the Author of Several Books about todays Spiritualism.
Therapeutical work with transpersonal and client centered concepts, with relaxation, meditation, hypnotic conditions, intuitive self-awareness, body work and spiritual recovering, consultation in parapsychological problems and spiritistism, resp. spiritualism, lectures and workshops, sensitivity and mediumship-training is his todays focus and makes him the expert who he is.
Far beyond the Switzerland borders his expertise is wanted and appreciated.

Gueldenstein was moreover a friend of Hans Bender (the "spirit control" of the FEG Medium).
He is a respected ISF representative and has sat and worked with countless different mediums, among them the english mediumship icon Gordon Higginson for example.

In regards to Physical Mediumship he considers himself to be a sceptic, but willing to accept the possibility of genuineness he has witnessed before!

Eva Holzer-Gueldenstein has a comparable impressive Vita, is also coming from a highly involved family - her parents for example did investigate the famous Maria Silbert of Graz, Austria in the 30ies and accompanied Matthias to visit the FEG-Homebase near Frankfurt, Germany!

Like Stephen Braude Matthias is discussing several hypothesises and counterhypothesises and comes to interesting results!

The 28th of September 2012 Matthias, like Braude or Susan Farrow of Psychic News the weeks before, did sit directly adjacent to the medium and hold it in the so called "four limb control' (medium hold at every limb by two persons, that additionally control themselves vice versa) in his chair during a full scale physical seance.
Additionally he was privileged to observe during the red light phases of the Seance closely the strange evolution of ectoplasmic phenomena together with the fully visible medium.

Account on the evening with the Felix-Circle Saturday, September 28th at Hanau.

My wife Eva and I had been to the Felix circle already once some time ago. At that time the phenomena were already quite impressive, but I couldn’t get a good look at the ectoplasmic hand, which waved from the cabinet at the end of the séance (there exist photographs of this though).

This time I had the privilege not only to search the séance room and cabinet in advance to our session, but also to sit directly beside the cabinet and to get hold of the mediums hands and knees, whenever the control (Hans Bender) asked Julia (who sat at the mediums right side) and me on the left to do so.

Therefore I couldn’t experience so many “touches” and couldn’t see so well what happened in the “experimental area”, where the drum, the instruments, the plate with the luminous balls and the “plaque” were placed.

All the better I could witness what happened directly in front of the cabinet.

After the medium had gone into his altered state of consciousness sitting in the cabinet, accompanied by loud music, Hans Bender started to speak.
Julia had the remotecontrol of the CD-player and turned the music low each time Hans was speaking.

He greeted the group and especially my wife and myself, since we had known him when he was still working at the Eichhalde-Intitute in Freiburg-Herdern.
I know that Kai is (sometimes - the editor) a bit doubtful about the personality of Hans, because he thinks he might be just part of his subconscious. I cannot judge this, but the way Hans is speaking, his melody and sound of speech remind me really of Hans Bender, although he didn’t use so many unusual words in his time. It is in a way typical for Hans Bender to explain that there will be three parts to the séance: 1. Phenomena in total darkness, 2. Phenomena with luminous tools and 3. Phenomena to be observed in red light.

The sitters had to hold hands during the phenomena to make sure nobody of them was moving or doing anything. Julia and I had to control the medium, whenever he came to sit in front of the open cabinet. From time to time Hans asked me to make sure that Julia was holding the medium properly as well.

The Telekinetic Movements in a Distance from the Medium
I can testify to the fact that during most of the phenomena happening about at least two meters away from the cabinet, the medium was sitting in the cabinet or just in front of it and was securely held by Julia and me. No way he could have stood up and/or handled anything like hidden ropes or rods or anything like that – and there were not any tools like that in the room anyway.
The only possibility for a “trick” I could imagine would be a very sophisticated computer programme which would by some ingenious technique make move all these different objects in the room, operated by remote control by Julia. But then there is a lot of evidence, which speaks against this hypothesis: The moving light point for example was touching Eva very gently on her cheek. I think you would need somebody with night vision goggles to be able to do this – and again there was nothing of the sort in the room.

And then for some time I was holding Julia’s hands as well as those of the medium when some of the movements happened. And the only other regular member of the circle who was present had her hands held on both sides by visitor sitters, who kept the participant’s chain linked.

I cannot see how any of the movements which happened could have been tricked: There was the sometimes quick, sometimes very slow flying around of a little light (rather a bit like a firefly), but which was apparently (from what my wife felt) like being held by two fingers. This would explain also, why the light couldn’t be seen by sitters on the right side of the medium, when the sitters on the left could see it and vice-versa.

The same applies to the three luminous balls on the tray, which were moved around on the tray and finally kind of “jumped” from it. The shadowy forms, which were seen moving on the luminous “plaque” I could not see well enough to talk about them.
But for me it was interesting that the medium often put his hands on his ties and seemed to press very hard, as if to concentrate the energy.
My observation was, that during this pressing nothing special happened, but then as soon as the medium relaxed, the phenomena became more active. The most impressive of these movements with luminous objects was the flying around of the “trumpet” which Julia had placed – following the instructions by Hans – in front of the cabinet.
To me it was absolutely clear that there was no trick whatsoever connected to this “flight-show” of the trumpet.

The Arrival of Ectoplasm and its autonomous evolution
For me the highlight of the séance was the third part where the medium produced quite a lot of ectoplasme, which was shown from time to time in the red light. Just before this Hans allowed a very short brake, because one of the sitters needed a drink and the air had become quite stuffy. The ventilator was put on for a short time and then the séance continued. The medium hadn’t moved from his cabinet during this time.

Since I was sitting directly beside the medium I could see the phenomena from a distance of less than a meter. In a first preliminary try Hans asked Julia to adjust the red light so that everybody could see the medium sitting in the opened cabinet quite clearly. Then we had to let go of the curtains until Hans announced that now the flow of the ectoplasme was starting.

We could open the curtains and put on the red light. The medium was holding his left hand to his mouth and pulling with his right hand some white, slightly transparent substance through his left hand from his mouth. Now one could argue that if he had swallowed before some chemical which now, by being drawn through another chemical in his hand reacted to result in this mist-like, half transparent substance he could have tricked this. We clearly were not equipped to search for chemicals. But I doubt very much that it would be possible to fake this effect of this very special substance to be drawn from the mouth by any combination of chemicals.

 After a short interval in the dark the red light showed quite a heap of this strangely fluffy and at the same time smooth and half transparent substance lying on the floor between the mediums legs. The next time the red light came on one could see this heap moving (“breathing”) like something alive. There protruded from it a few “ears” or “fingers”, which were easier to see from in front.
In another spell of red light out of the heap came something like a hand and an arm.

From in front it looked apparently like a normal hand and arm, just protruding from the floor out of and formed by this substance. From my point of view arm and hand seemed flattened, not rounded like a normal arm and hand. Then Hans announced he wanted to build up a column out of the ectoplasme.

Indeed a cone-like form started do grow up, but didn’t reach higher than about the chin of the medium. Hans said there was not enough energy to build the column completely. For me it was interesting that I could see the right shoe of the medium through the uprising substance. Then Hans said they would now cover the body of the medium with the substance. When the red light came on the mediums face and a good part of his body was covered with his in this case gauze-like substance, transparent where there was like just one layer, whitish where there seemed to be more substance. Hans announced he would now cover the whole body by helping with the mediums hands. Next time we could look the whole body was really covered by this very fine veil.

Then Hans thanked everybody and said he would now bring the medium back to consciousness. The cabinet was again closed completely so that the guests could leave the room guided by the light of a torch. Julia and I remained in the room until the medium was totally back.

 If there was such a transparent, very light and easy to handle substance, looking somewhat like gauze or veil, but without textile structure, rather like mist or clouds of dry ice, which one could fabricate out of easy to handle chemicals and which could evaporate completely after being used, then I would say: That is, what we saw. But to my knowledge there is no such substance (except the ectoplasme). And there remains the question how the medium could form such an arm and hand out of this substance, able to move like alive.

The medium was clearly in sight of everybody whilst this arm and hand was forming from the floor between the mediums legs and moving, whilst the medium didn’t move at all.
If somebody could show me the same under the same conditions done by tricks, then I would accept that this could be done.
But I doubt very much that somebody could possibly create the same phenomena by trickery whilst being so closely watched by attentive and critical people.

I would say therefore that I am satisfied that all the phenomena we could witness with this medium were genuine and good examples of the traditional physical mediumship.

MEDIUMISTIC DEMONSTRATIONS AT 'GORDON HIGGINSON FELLOWSHIP'-EVENT - with Bill Meadows, Scott Milligan, Kai Muegge, Terry Tasker, Eileen Davis, Glyn Edwards and MEDRADO

Gordon Higginson was one of the finest mediums of the last century and a great medium, speaker and teacher. His gifts of mediumship were wide ranging and comprised mental mediumship, trance, physical mediumship and healing.  Gordon was also a man of great charisma and an outstanding servant of the Spiritualist Movement. ( Through the Gordon Higginson Fellowship his Founder Glyn Edward, who was once a scholar of Gordon, wants to behold the memory of this great man and medium

Over the last week around 130 Students of the Gordon Higginson Fellowship were offered an extremely rich event-schedule! Strong Physical Seances were held, workshops, Mental Mediumship Demonstrations and Lectures around the topic.
Every Student sat with every Physical Medium in Seance and was able to witness first hand how the Spirit World intrudes ours via the joint-ventured Deep Trance Process!

Besides the performance of our FEG Spirit Team, in Physical Mediumship the Audience was experiencing the productions of Bill Meadows' and Scott Milligans' Spirit Team as well.
All the Seances were held under strictest control measures. Meanwhile the english mediums were traditionally tightly bound into their chairs and demonstrated, that every opportunity to slip out of the control or exchange the cable binds were excluded, the FEG-Medium was hold permanently by two controllers, as it is tradition in German Physical Mediumship Research since the great days of Rudi Schneider (ingenious physical medium), Albert Freiherr v. Schrenck-Notzing (Scientist and Researcher) and Marthe Beraud.
The Physical Medium Scott Milligan also developed right from his adolesence his exciting Ectoplasmic Physical Mediumship. He is moreover a superb tutor for trance and other mediumship-topics

For the Audience especially interesting to witness was exactly that different approach, represented by the characteristics of the spirit controls and their modi operandi to guide the sitters through the sessions.
Meanwhile it is typical to work in english spiritualism with guides of a caliber of deceased priests, wise indians and energetical children, the german spirit team is mostly built of spirit scientists and pioneers of the spiritistic era.

Apported through the faculties of the FEG-Spirit Team: At the end of Kais second seance he was seated in front of the cabinet. Bright red light illuminated the scene, when he was taken into four limb control. The trance personality spoke and announced the arrival of an apported gift to Donna James, who did the medium control during the session. Suddenly the medium started to breath heavily and moan, when in front of everybodies eyes in front of him an object fell to the ground: a typical apport as it has happened many times before with Kai...
The result is, that the course of the 'german' seance was very 'experiment-oriented' and pragmatical - with a spirit scientist, that was permanently explaining what was going on under their (spirit-)control and who led the sitters that way step by step onto the increasing levels of their influence along the evening. Another huge topic for the spirit scientist is the 'medium control': unnervingly often he lets the sitters listen to the detailed description of how the control is performed by the persons left and right from the medium, who hold him tightly on arms and legs during the darkness phases of the seance, when in up to 6 feet distance focus objects are manipulated by the spirit scientists and other etherical visitors. Partially striking and upsetting, resp. comforting Messages were also brought through to several sitters over the three FEG-Spirit Team Seances.
The Bill Meadows Circle whose strength lies in Bills excellent physical mediumship as well as in his wifes and Cirlce leaders Colleen Charisma. Their sessions are amazing and exciting and live especially through the highly characteristic spirit-child personality "Marie".
 The exciting UK-Mediums Spirit Teams work lives additionally from the dynamic of their spirit teams, energetic child-personalities or meaningful indians or priests or comparable types of controls alternate meanwhile phenomena are going on! Fraud-proof their mediums bindings are as well! No question that neither young Scott Milligan, nor the elderly Bill Meadows could escape their bindings that are always checked and presented by and to the sitters to their full satisfaction.
Both spirit teams perform marvelous phenomena and give messages further as well!

In Scott Milligans Seance for example, even though the medium was very tightly bound to his chair by cable binds, a written message by the deceased Tom Harrison to his wife Anne appeared, lying on the ground. Under no circumstances this message could have been written fraudulently by Scott, because he must have freed himself, what the marked cable binds did prevent.
With Bill for example it is the case, that you see Bill sitting in red light, tightly bound to the armchair before the Seance starts. The two controlling sitters have just left the cabinet and have left the curtains open. They had just checked, that there was no possibility for Bill to free himself anyhow and the lights are turned of.
Not three seconds later (!!!) the first objects rise from the table to the left of his cabinet!

So the sitters - in regards to physical mediumship - have been presented extraordinary performances of interacting spiritual entities!

Additionally to that rich range of events the most respected mental mediums of UK performed: Eileen Davis from Scotland, who is an icon already in her lifetimes, Terry Tasker, who has a wonderful attitude to bring people together with their loved ones and the unique Glyn Edwards offered amazing demonstrations and workshops!

Thursday one of the highlights of the week was scheduled: the speech and trance-session of Dr. Jose Medrado, the trance painter! The Doctor for Philosophy was in the eighties a brazilian FULL MATERIALISATION MEDIUM and became famous for the fully materialised spirit of an unknown (?) female, who was called, because of her bridal looking dress, simply 'the bride'. Fully enclothed in ectoplasmic substance the bride made headlines besides the many other full materialisations in Brazil, one of the spiritualistic heartlands since the times of Allen Kardec, whose ideas and books was a main influence for brazilian spiritualism!

When Medrado became older his body started to suffer too much from the materialisation work and his spirit team changed completely. Today his main spirit control RENOIR enables him to become overtaken during the course of an approx. 90 minutes lasting session by the leading master painters of the past.
In less than 5 minutes paintings like the ones presented here are produced by him.
He applies an amazing technique for which he uses his fingers and brushes to bring colour onto the canvas.
He claims that the spirit controls apply layers of ectoplasm between the colour to form and finalize them in such a speed.

Another amazing phenomenon around him occurred two times in Eastbourne, in the conference hall filled with nearly 150 persons. As it is a brazilian tradition mediums there have mostly a physician, mostly german ones, in their spirit team. And when Medrado just mentioned he had been given a short input by exactly this guide, the room filled immediately with an unmistakeable strong smell of something, like aceton, or another strong cleansing-liquid, everybody instantly associated with the smell of a hospital.
Like a huge wave the smell two times travelled from Medrados place on the stage in every direction and EVERYBODY in the room smelled it clearly!
An amazing experience who has never before experienced such an olfactorial phenomenon!

Within less than 5 minutes pictures like these (examples) are painted in a mix-technique of finger and brush-painting, More than 4000 Pound one of the Pictures did made during the auction later for Medrados "City of Light"!

In the auction for Medrados paintings inspired by Renoir, Gauguin, Monet, Picasso, Lutrec, Klimt and others, several thousands pounds could be made for the untired humanitarian work Medrado is doing in Brazil with his "City of Light"! A huge humanitarian centre for poor peoples medical care and free meals. Mainly the City of Light is for orphans and for their education every single penny from the paintings is being taken. Medrado himself is working for the brazilian government and has a regular income! His trance work shall sew seeds for spiritualism and shall collect money for his centre!

An extremely packed week of incredible content came to an end at Friday!

Again and again certain people complain publicly, the Felix Circle would not operate under the guidelines of Spiritualism, respectively would not produce Survival Evidence.

Everybody who has sat with the FEG or who is reading the published independent reports knows that this is false! Some people seem to simply ignore these reports or they write their comments without having no knowledge about what is happening at all during FEG-sessions.

We ask ourselves, why this is so, and we believe our different sociocultural background and tradition in conversing with spirit is enough for those people not only to reject us but to frequently claim publicly about the worthlessness of the FEG Mediumship!

Spirit Communicators we work with and don't fit into a certain "survivalist"-pattern are being laughed about and - typically for the internet - with malice and from behind their desktops they try to fight on different sites for their claim that no, or not enough, or not the way it used to happen, survival evidence is brought forward through our work.

Usually we should not care for the opinions of single parties, on the other hand side it makes sense to once and for all introduce only a few of the powerful Survival-Evidence events, the FEG-Mediumship is regularly bringing forward!

The Felix Experimental Group works in the tradition of the German Spiritists, especially in the tradition of Rudi Schneider, a famous Austrian Physical Medium.
Spiritists value the communication with spirit without having made a religion out of it.

We believe in Life after Death, but also, that mediumship goes far beyond the survival question.
Survivalism and Spiritualism, (and spiritism naturally as well) are earthly (!) constructs and we believe we shall not reduce our spirit communication with patterns these earthly constructs do implicate.

We believe moreover mediumship has to be freed from any kind of earthly dogmatism to become able to really bring forward higher knowledge!

Nevertheless the FEG Spirit Team brings forward striking survival evidence regularly because Survival is an important part of a higher order, but far from being its essence, we believe.
We also believe that the physical phenomena induced by spiritual entities speak for themselves and are self-evidentialy pointing to that higher realm we all will once enter!

Yes, it is true, we will survive, but this survival will happen in terms that go far beyond our capabilities of comprehension and communication and we believe, that spirit-personalities of the deceased actually have to downgrade themselves, back to the patterns they once have fulfilled, when they become part in an interdimensional communication attempt.

From the moment on the soul has become a free potential, unbound from the chains of space and time, it does so quickly veer away from its earthly existence and terms and ascends into higher realms of spiritual awareness and existence.

Its a huge leap, a dimensional change that alters (nearly) everything, that once had a certain meaning.

Still so many people haven t internalized the achieved knowledge about Life after Death from many different research areas and are in the personal need for the annointment of becoming confirmed the human survival!

The FEG Spirit Team does what it can to help in these instances. And mostly it delivers it in the typical way of western spiritualism, because thats the language people speak when they want to converse with the spirit-world.

So what is it, that we describe as striking. What is it, when we say, that some of the messages arrive in physical shape?

With several examples we want to show the reader once and for all, what the FEG-Spirit Team is capable to produce, when transfering the message of Survival to the people, to our fellow sitters:

1. The most dearest relatives of a female sitter are showing up on Polaroid-based Experimentation in Spirit Photography, lead by the main spirit control, the deceased Professor of Parapsychology Hans Bender in 2008. The spirit control announced beforehand, two spirit personalities were very close to a person of the group and would not only show up on the photos, but would be immediately recognized by their 'receiver'.

Previously to their appearance on the psychic photography the spirit control had announced, the visitors would appear in a way Silvi was used to look at them...

Nobody of the FEG-Group had ever been in her living room or knew about this photo!

2. Sitter S.W. was contacted by her deceased mum who was begging for forgiveness for what she had done to her. A huge emotional potential, that was touched in that communication refering to a dark childhood in a burdened family, could be released that night, when the mother was admitting all she had done. In the end she wanted to give her daughter something, that he allegedly had wished for.
A piece of jewelry then fell onto S. shoulder.

After the Seance S. confirmed she actually had wished for something from the spirit world, she could carry around with her. So her mother, as a symbol for her Love, overgave her a piece of Jewelry from the spirit world, S. from then on wore. First she carried it with her around in her pocket, then after a few days, she hung it around her neck....

3. From one of the first classical cabinet sittings in 2009 on - the group sat with a cabinet before, but never inside of it - Author Costas and Ellen Waitzis were regular guests. Start of 2011 Ellen died unexpectedly during a hospital stay for a knee surgery.

From then on Costas became a regular sitter and waited for Ellen to come back to him in the Seance Room. After 5 months someone approached him (medium controlled) in the dark and kissed him several times onto the head. He immediately knew it was Ellen.
During the upcoming sittings this contact did strengthen and after several more reluctant approaches Costas was finally able to hold his Ellen - seemingly fully materialized - in the dark. Meanwhile they were embracing and kissing themselves, the spirit control announced from the cabinet, that Ellen had brought a present from the spirit world, he from now on should carry close to his heart to have her always with him: an apported beautiful lead crystal...

Costas wrote extensively about the incidents to friends and befriended ITC-organizations and the new edition of his book about the spirit world will contain it as well!
That man, who was broken, became fulfilled again, gained weight and is since his final contact with Ellen today with 80 years more active than ever...

4. During a sitting the American Physician Neal Rzepkowski was adressed by two spirit personalities. One spoke to him accent-free Lakota, a sub-dialect of the Dakota Tribe, called him a real "medicine man" and that he would be ready for the "song of the pipe"! The song of the pipe is a metaphor only known to people quite close to Indian culture! It means that the person has shown, that he is mature enough to converse with the world of Spirit!

Noone in the room knew, that Neil had a Dakota spirit-guide, in fact noone knew he was a doctor at all. Neil claimed in front of the people to be a medium in America. That is so important because the indian in spirit had brought with him another man. A former patient of Neal, who was quickly identified by him, after the spirit mentioned some remarks in connection with Neals treatment of him in the past.

Neal writes: Although I occasionally thought about LL over the years, it had been some time since he last came to mind. I was very surprised and grateful that he greeted me during the seance.
The second spirit person to greet me was a Lakota Sioux Indian. (I recognized him as one of my guides). the spirit control of Kai started to say he was pointing a stick at me and then corrected himself and said it was actually a pipe. 
He then (...) pronounced quite correctly 2 words that the guide gave me to identify. 
I am quite sure no one else in the room, and certainly not Kai nor HB, would have known the Lakota language, but I do know a fair amount of vocabulary, and immediately recognized these words. (...) 

This is a very impressive and extraordinary example of spirit communication to me.
There was much more that happened in the séance, and others also received evidential messages. However, since it is late as I write this, I will conclude here and say that I was “blown away” by the whole experience. I believe that the British expression for this would be “gobsmacked”.

5. When Mediumship Researcher Marion Dampier Jeans was visiting us she received one of the famous wax-ball apports from the FEG-Spirit Team. Inside was the handwriting of famous Danish Medium Einer Nielsen. Einer Nielsen materialized spirit personalities for nearly 50 years.

Marion, who is a born Danish, contacted with the apported piece of paper a specialist at a Danish newspaper. With his expertise it could be stated, that it was in fact the handwriting of the deceased Einer Nielsen, written in the Danish Grammar of the fifties. Moreover the writing contained Super knowledge the medium could not have known previously. Read Marions own report on her website please!

6. Many of you know Ann Harrison. She is today a commited publisher of important spiritualist literature! Her husband Tom Harrison, son of the Materialisation Medium Minnie Harrison, was one of the icons of the spiritualist movement, when he died in 2011.
2012 Ann sat in a FEG-Spirit Team Seance, when the spirit control from the cabinet was asking for total silence in the room, because someone was shuffling in a typical manner over the floor of the dark Seance room.
After she had announced that she immediately identified her husband, the spirit control carried on to give personal information to Ann from the cabinet, meanwhile the materialized spirit personality was audibly moving through the room. When the spirit control announced that Tom now would try to touch her, she immediately felt a brief touching on her knee. She sat at least 3 metres from the cabinet, the medium was permanently speaking from.

Ann writes: Who else could it be but Tom Harrison, my husband, back again in his
‘home’ Centre. We heard his familiar shuffling footsteps as he moved
across the room. Professor Bender (spirit control) then went on to say the man wished to
touch someone in the circle. Because I was at almost the furthest
possible point (almost 3 metres) from the cabinet I encouraged him to
try to touch Barbara who was nearer but no, with an extreme effort, I
felt a tap firmly on my knees (a warm, soft but firm fist) before he was
pulled back towards the cabinet. A few minutes later, after we had sung
again, Hans Bender came back to say that the man, ‘Thomas’, wanted to
tell that lady something (that something was very pertinent to me).

We could easily carry on to list further examples of what we consider is regularily called "Survival Evidence". But we want to overhand it to the reader to carefully study these accounts - and several more, if you should wish so here on the FEG Blog - to decide, to answer this question for yourselves, if Survival Evidence is happening or not happening at the Felix Experimental Group!

The mere fact, that our approach is another than from mediums raised in a spiritualistic country and doesn t always fit into the patterns of Spiritualism - for example because of our mediumistic contact with what we call "Super Spirits", that claim to be stone-old cosmological entities - some believe it is righteous to discredit, dismiss and state frequently false things publicly about our work!
In the name of the 'true' spiritualistic mediumship...

We want to inform you today about a huge leap forward, about an attempt to reunite science and Physical Mediumship, about the investigation of Americas leading Parapsychologist, Prof. Stephen Braude, of the mediumship of K.M., the Physical Medium of the Felix Experimental-Group in Hanau, Germany.

Braude is in his sixties, a retired Professor of Philosophy from the University of Maryland, Editor of the Journal for Scientific Exploration and is for decades involved in Mediumship and Makro-PK, (especially Physical Mediumship), Consiousness- and Afterlife-Research. His books "The Limits of Influence", "Immortal Remains" and "The Gold Leaf Lady" are counted to the most valid and intellectual debate contributions of today.

After 9 days of having everything done to be fully transparent for this second investigation of Braude, he made considerable statements in regards to his findings. 'The control conditions were excellent' (quote), there were no fraud indications and the mediums cooperation he believes, 'should set the standard of behavior for all Physical Mediums' (quote) working under scientific scrutiny in the future.
'I was given thorough access to all the premises and full cooperation from the medium!' (quote)

It was Braudes second visit, after he had observed unquestionable phenomena the last time, but the control issues in regards of the medium during the cabinet sitting at his first visit end of 2010 weren t satisfying to him, because he didn t know the people, that were holding the medium, nor did he know the medium nor its surrounding, the circle and family.
 That is why Prof. Braude didn t want to publish something before he wouldn t have had the opportunity to return to the FEG's bomb shell cellar in Hanau!

Originally we were doubting if it was clever to let these investigations being done further on, because we knew from the history, that the mediums never had won something from these investigations. Unexpected and inconsiderable flaws during the control in the end always left room for doubt, what in the end had lead to the exclusion of that kind of Mediumship from the research efforts of Modern parapsychology (same happened to Poltergeist-Phenomena) mostly.

Such doubts then always lay on the shoulders of the medium psychologically, whose honesty in the end is questioned then, even though it had nothing to do with it at all!

An example: A sitter opens the chain to scratch its nose! A thorough scientific report NEEDS to mention this. In the end it cannot be avoided to theorize that this exactly might have been the moment accompliceship had taken place. Everything else that might have been perfect and valid can be destroyed by such inconsiderable moments in time.

With the many researchers we had here we have learned that such inconsiderable events cannot be excluded without taking the medium to a laboratory, where the whole setting needed is naturally annulled completely in the end.

So anyways, we followed the urging of our scientific circle leader Dr. J.S. to let Prof. Braude come for a second time, because he believed Braude was aware of all of that and applies a highly psychologically sophisticated approach to his mediumship research.

So persuading Braude would mean, despite all the sympathy, he this time wanted to imply much stricter controls during the three sessions, especially during the main Cabinet Seance during the week...
And this he did.

Supported by the scientifically thinking 'main spirit control' of the medium, the deceased Prof. Hans Bender, who is permanently vigilant that the control of the medium is perfect, Braude did achieve what he was coming for!

We were expecting that Braude wouldn t be able to validate our own claims of standing in contact with deceased personalities, but we expected being able to show him unquestionable physical phenomena under good control conditions - especially the ectoplasm - enabling him to evaluate no fraud is involved.

So over 9 days and three sessions Braude was observing, filming (infrared table levitation) and witnessing full levitation in sufficient red light, raps, touches, spirit lights and object movement far out of reach of the medium while having the medium and the mediums wife under control (registering every movement of them)and ectoplasm and some of its features. Spirit Communication was happening as well with messages for Braude and Robert Narholz.
Braude will publish a thorough report in a scientific journal about his investigation, we were allowed to read but we naturaly cannot publish it on the blog beforehand its publishing.

During the last table session a full levitation could be filmed. Note the mediums (with his back to the camera) one hand above the table and his rocking with its chair. Levitating a table with ones foot needs to have a safe stand! Moreover full levitations were observed a few days earlier in good red light showing all hands were on the table and all feet on the ground...

Braude writes in regards to the table sittings: (quote start) '(...) we had 5 clear table levitations, 3 of which occurred in red light sufficient to see hands on the table and legs beneath (on the floor). In the latter, we were able to record a brief levitation with infrared video. Although it can't be regarded as strictly evidential (because not all sitters or hands were visible from the single camera angle), I consider it a valuable document of an event I'm convinced was authentic.
I also received an apport which arrived while the hands of all sitters were visible in red light, joined. No device was discovered that might have released the metal figurine of the Indian goddess for wisdom and knowledge Saraswati.' (quote end)

For the most scepticism inducing Cabinet Seance we allowed Braude to take a place, usually only close people to the medium are allowed to take, directly besides it with the task to control it at all four limbs, when phenomena were occurring out of reach of the medium.

The sitters were seated in a way, that not 2 of the present 3 circle members sat adjacent to one another to exclude one was able to free him/herself from the sitters chain without being detected to fake phenomena!

Stephen writes: (Quote start) 'The cabinet sitting was important to me because I was able to control both Kai and Julia (mediums wife) during the proceedings as well as monitoring pre-seance conditions very carefully (including a strip search of the medium).

Kai cooperatively allowed us to see under the folds in his belly and inside his underwear. We didn’t conduct a full cavity search, but it was clear that no contrivance or mass of cloth or other material was concealed externally. Jochen then provided Kai with a fresh set of clothes, which I inspected before Kai dressed. We then walked Kai down to the cellar, and Kai kept his hands raised in full sight the entire time so that I could be sure that he wasn’t grabbing some accessory on the way downstairs.' (quote end)

Then Braudes Camera failed, the battery had unloaded itself somehow. The Medium asked for red light and the 4 people present could see the medium very well. "Grab my hands, the medium announced". Standing that way around the table, suddenly an object fell from the ceiling or mid-air! A figurine of the Indian Goddess Saraswati for knowledge and wisdom. Earlier it was theorized if Braude might get 'a gift from the spirit world'.

Then Braude started to witness the first phase of what the spirits call "building up a forcefield" that enables them to interact on our dimensional level with the sitters. That field is the base that ectoplasm can build up and form and act in the end. Over several experiments the spirit world is testing then the level of influence by trying to affect and manipulate (focus-)objects and building ectoplasmic forms in the room.

(quote start) 'Many of the usual object movements and lights occurred at a distance from the medium while I controlled him, and I'm impressed by the fact that they seemed to occur just after the medium twitched or grabbed my hand. But while the various physical phenomena occurred, I controlled Kai, and I sometimes controlled Julia as well. I sat to Kai's left, only a few inches away. My right hand grabbed Kai's left hand and rested on Kai's left leg, which I also touched with my right leg (and my left foot was in front of his left foot). (...) I also reached across Kai's lap and my left hand grabbed one or both of Julia's hands in such a way that my forearm rested on Kai's right leg. So I could be sure that Kai didn't move from his spot during the phenomena, many of which took place at least 50 inches from Kai.' (quote end)

(quote start) 'When the ectoplasm appeared, I sat approximately 1 meter from the mass that Kai pulled from his mouth, and in red light I could clearly see it, lying outside the cabinet and separated from the medium, moving, as if it was breathing.
Then twice I saw it sprout what looked like a hand with fingers, moving left and right and seeming to wave.

In each case (of the curtain openings), the “breathing” mass seemed to sprout a gradually developing hand-like appendage, with distinguishable (but not clearly separated) fingers.

The next time we opened the cabinet, we saw an already formed long protrusion or narrow column coming from the mass, rising to a height of 3 or 4 feet, looking like a semi-transparent tube.

Naturally Braude discusses in his paper imaginable fraud techniques in his report, but needs to reject them in the end for obvious reasons. The decision to let Braude sit so close was right, because exactly this enabled him to do very detailed observations:

(Quote start) 'The mass was outside the cabinet and Kai remained inside. But the breathing (or flexing) seemed to be animated from inside the substance, and the mass was expanding at different points within it.
(...) And as for the hand, no hair could explain how it gradually took shape and became more determinately hand-like.

Moreover, since I was with Kai from the time he was strip-searched, and since I saw no contrivance in the séance room before or after the séance, I rate it as highly unlikely that Kai used some sort of hidden device to produce the animated ectoplasm.'

'I’m especially grateful to Kai for allowing me not only to control him directly, but also to conduct a strip search, and to observe him after the séance. I will eventually publish a full and detailed report of my experiences.' (quote end)

Stephen Braude and Robert Narholz were both receiving messages from spirit personalities. Both weren t revealing their names and were trying to persuade the sitters of their genuity by telling both guys things, the medium did not know:

Braude was contacted by an old research fellow of him who tried to remind him of a conversation they had about the 'spirit control' of another medium, the research fellow was involved with.
Maybe this spirit talked in too many riddles, Braude could not remember having a discussion about a spirit guide at all, even though his first guess, who that spirit guide might have been was right - the caribean pirate "Jean Lafitte".

So be it as it may, Robert Narholz in the contrary was adressed by the grand-mother of a person he was filming with at the time and at the moment he trys to validate what was given through.  

After 9 days Braude did leave the M.-Family, that had learned to like Braudes humorous and sensible character very much. Even though he does not think in spiritualistic terms he is counted to the most respected researchers in the field. We thank him for taking the time to evaluate the phenomena at the Felix Experimental Group, the Mediumship of Kai.M.

JOAO IN WINTERTHUR 2012 - A Photo Tour to the Spiritual Superstar and 'Healer of the Century'! (more than 100 photos)

A few weeks ago I was in the lucky position to work as the official photographer for Spirit Services Gmbh, Switzerland, that organize "Joao in Switzerland"-Events in Winterthur and next year is Basle, Switzerland!

Joao de Deus - or John of God - how his community is calling him is today in his early 70ies and is described by many as the most influential and succesful healer personality and incorporating full trance medium of the New Age.

When he was 9 years old João Teixeira de Faria, what his real name is, had a religious vision, that did send him on a lifelong mission and seemingly triggered his legendary healing potentials. Already in his early ages, the story goes, at the spiritualist center of his home town, where he was lead by his vision, he was fainting for the first time and incorporated one of his main spirit personalities with the age of sixteen, who exercised the healing rituals over the patients at the center!

Brazil is the largest existing spiritualist country of the world, where more than 85% of the inhabitants believe in a life after death and the communion between spirit and man. Thousands of spiritualist communities are spread over the country, where mediums work with spirit entities for information or to do healing work, like Joao.

Like in Germany it was originally the experimental, non religious arm of spiritualism, the so called spiritism, that was exercised in Brazil until its influence became so huge that the countrywide building of the countless spiritualist centers took place.

So for the regular brazilian citizen, the mediumistical incorporation of a deceased spirit is something completely normal.
Besides the service and the healing work, it was the physical mediumship feature of full materialization, that is until today lively exercised. And also among the full materialized spirits, it is the healing work, the most of them exercise in incorporated condition!

So in the meantime Joao works with more than 60 spirits of different rank. These 60 spirit personalities are always with him and his healing work meanwhile only six of them do incorporate Joao. These are  Dom Inacio de Loyola, Dr. Oswaldo Cruz, Dr. Bezerra de Menezes, Dr. Augusto de Almeida, Dr. Andre Luiz and Dr Jose Valdivino.

Dom Inacio for example is the Jesuits founder, meanwhile the others huge benefactors of the past of Brazilians Society were.

Other Entities known by name are: King Salomon, St. Francisco de Assis, Dom Ingrid, Dr. Jose Penchiado, St. Francisco Xavier, King David, Mestre Kutumi, Dr. Jose, Irmã Sheila.

Basically one can say, that all the entities, as well as Joao himself, draw their power from the christian catholic believe system, resp. Jesus himself as its representative and the mentioned entities that all have a link to brazilian christianity! Joao himself is a strong believer, whose whole actions and words are interwoven with his deeply anchored image of brazilian christianity. In his interviews that becomes especially clear.

Over several trance rituals that seem to switch off his patients sense for pain completely the entities healing work is exercised. A legendary quasi-surgical eye-treatment for example, that was already exercised by many other great healers of Brazils past, is also utilized by Joao, when he scratches with a non-sterile kitchen knife over the eyeballs of his patients and "digs" into the mucosa areals under the eyelids. The eyeball, that is highly sensible (remember how one is affected when something is under the eyelid) seems to be anaesthesized during this treatment, that is affecting more than 25 different diseases and their symptoms.

Like most spiritual trance healers do, during the manipulative action Joao scratches a mysterious substance from the eyeball that is regarded as the physical display of the diseases negative energy!

Another spectacular treatment, also long since known in Brazilian Spiritual Healing Work, is is the intrusion of a 18 cm long surgical scissor with a piece of cotton wool at its end, up and into the nose, where it, when it sticks completely in the head of the patient, is forcefully turned around there and pulled out again...

Again the patients look as if in a trance and, following Joao, having been given a 'spiritual aneasthesia', feeling no pain at all, even though many hear like if 'membranes were pierced' and a lot of blood is flooding from their noses.

Also scalpels are being used and cut several centimeters into the bodies of the patients, also with the goal to treat several different diseases and their symptoms.... Oftentimes Joao puts his fingers into the opened areals and seems to grope for something inside. Shortly afterwards the cut is closed, suturated with surgical threads.

All these ritualistic exercises are not allowed in Europe and so in Winterthur we saw Joao act a little bit different!
The european events are mass-events! In Winterthur 12000 people were lead along Joaos place in the so called "Entity" Room, right besides the Operation-Room.

The logistics behind were planned and exercised by Pablo Suetterlin Werthmueller and his staff of Spirit Services Switzerland, and hundreds of helpers, who gave their time freely to be part of that event!

Followers, believers, scholars of spirituality and countless people with several different and heavy diseases flooded over the area of the Eulach-Halls, Winterthur, all dressed in white to represent the etherical, as it is wanted by the Casa-Entities in Abadiania, Brazil, where they unleash their powers usually - in a "Spiritual Hospital", as they do call the Casa del Inacio de Loyola - the home of Joao...!

At these european events everything is done to copy the conditions at the Casa, but for 4000 people the day!

For such a purpose huge areals are needed and the Eulach-Halls in Wintherthur were offering exactly this:
- a main hall, where approximately 2500 people could wait and listen to spiritual lectures and music the whole day.
- an adjacent hall, representing the 'meditation room' where more or less permanently around 1000 people were sitting, guided to meditate in 4 or 5 languages, german, english, french, italian and portuguese for the healing entities and healing processes in general.
- the adjacent 'entity room', where Joao was receiving the people, accompanied by several helper mediums that partly overtake the entities intermediately after or before they were with Joao and another opportunity to meditate for approx. 250 people 
- the adjacent 'surgery-room', where especially chosen patients were receiving a 'spiritual operation' or a 'spiritual cleaning', all provided by the more than 60 helper entities around Joao and the organization.
- an adjacent 'recovery room', where all those who were really affected by the strong energies, that are in charge, could rest on beds and a staff of professional nurses and physicians was looking for them
- the 'crystal bed' room, where up to 15 people could parallely be treated by coloured light emissions, pulsing through highly pure crystals onto the patients chakra areals (see Photo)
- a huge tent were a traditional soup was given to those that have undergone spiritual surgery and that was used to give out tasty meals around noon
- an inside cafeteria, where all the time a bakery was offering snacks and coffee

Many times over the three days spontanous healing events were taking place. In the end there was a small room full of crooks and wheelchairs, left behind by patients that stepped back out of the hall otherwise than they have come: healed!
